Here's what we have to work with. Remove the airbox for line of sight access to the flywheel marks located under black plug on transmission. Remove upper intercooler hose. Remove belly pan. Remove passenger side splash shield. Remove lower intercooler hose.

Remove serpentine belt and tensioner. Move power steering and coolant reservoirs out of the way. Rotate engine until notch in flywheel lines up with bump in transmission casing. Cam lock should slide in unless you are 180 degrees out. Remove harmonic balancer. Remove timing covers -- view from below.

Remove timing covers -- view from above. Remove top portion of motor mount. Lock inection pump, remove tension, and remove cam pully to remove belt. Removing the tensioner allows the lower mount to be removed. Notice cam seal leak. Install crank lock in preperation for reinstallation. Remove water pump. Remove valve cover and number one cam bearing to remove and replace cam seal. These are all the parts getting replaced.

I stripped this stud and a few threads in the block when replacing this stud by attempting to torque down roller while not realizing the compound on the threads prevented full stud installation. I had to clean up the threads with a homemade thread chaser and reuse the old stud. This is what inection pump timing and fuel temperature looked like during the first start following installation. The diesel clatter made it clear that timing was too advanced. This is the timing I settled on following two adjustments.
