I own a 2009 Jeep Wrangler X. I'm collecting service and dimensional info here for it.
So, after removing and getting rid of my rear seat, I decided to delete the rear seat belts as well. The top seat belt "turning bracket screw" is 7/16"-20 (AKA 7/16" fine thread), around 3/4" long. The seat belt retractor screw is also 7/16-20, around 1-1/2" long. The retractor screw was a Torx T47 that stripped out really easily. The turning bracket screw is also a Torx, but smaller. Both use something that seems similar to blue Loctite to keep them in place. The retractor bolts were absolutely horrible to remove, requiring me to weld a 1" hex nut around the screw head. The welding heat broke the Loctite down and allowed the screws to be remove relatively easily.
I plan on using some kind of anchor point in the old seat belt hardware locations, so I have more places to tie stuff down in the back of the Jeep.
