About Me

I am a Christian musician.  I am a seeker of truth and of fairness, and one who likes to promote education and tolerance.

Purpose of This Page: The Negative

Why do I have this page?  Mainly to stay anonymous.  Why do I seek to be anonymous?

  1. Social media is increasingly dominated by algorithms and AI.
  2. Social media is increasingly antisocial, and people increasingly unaccountable.
  3. Facebook claims they have eliminated "fake news" (not like it was ever their job) yet tons of entities still spam Facebook with editorialized titles to trick you into clicking their ad-ridden websites.
  4. Facebook will suspend your account for no legitimate reason, and with the increasing trend in humanity of trying to "cancel" people by reporting things you don't like (i.e. lying to "cancel" people), it's far too often.  Doesn't matter if you did nothing wrong per the terms of service: all it takes is someone to not like you.
  5. Some social media algorithms are so bad that you cannot "train" it to not repeatedly try to show you adult content.  It is increasingly difficult to remain pure in the digital age.
  6. Some in church leadership cannot see past their political idolatry.  They will refuse to let you serve if they know you don't worship their favorite political figure.  Many times since 2016, I have felt like I am losing my religion.

Purpose of This Page: The Positive

But what are the positive aspects of my desire to have this page?

  1. I can share experiences that help others.  Many have emailed me thanking me for my stand against entities like ACBC and for sharing my experience with spiritual abuse.  Know that I am no saint, nor an expert.  But also know that you're not alone.
  2. I can share the truth, to the best of my ability to remain true to it.  I don't need to ask myself, "will Karen report me?"  All Christians should communicate the truth in love and grace.  But some people will presume there is no love just because they don't like your opinion.  But having to constantly look over your shoulder can hinder telling the complete truth.
  3. When I was young, I  accidentally caused rifts in my friendships.  I regret such mistakes.  Maybe they'll see this site.  Maybe not.  I hope they see it and consider forgiving me.  Perhaps they will.  Make no mistake: boundaries are important.
